A few from 2k14

It is so hard to pick my favorite images from my 2014 shoots last year because...
1. That's a lot of pictures to look through and...
2. Each image evokes a memory from one of these special days or moments.
So, instead I decided to just pick those that stick out to me. I feel connected to each one of the photos I take because each one is a deliberate composition and I get to remember the unique story within that picture. Yes, sometimes I snap an action shot at just the right time, but I am usually trying to document a personality or story by showing its simplistic beauty, quirky moments, and emotional depth. I think I tried to pick images based on composition, color, movement, and emotion. Here are some from the beginning to the end of my shoots from 2014!

Rick & Joelle · Married

Looking back on this wedding I second shot for Stacey Windsor Photography I remember how wonderful the day was from start to finish. The venue, weather, colors, and people were amazing. I loved meeting Rick and Joelle and their family and friends and shooting alongside Stacey. Did I mention we got to do portraits on the beach? This Maryland wedding ceremony was actually at the Calvert Marine Museum, a first time event for this venue and it went really well! Overlooking the water, Rick and Joelle said their vows and then went inside to the main lobby for their reception. The guests could look around the museum and explore the historic displays, otter house, and marine life skeletons! It was such a neat place to have a wedding and I am thankful I got to be apart of this special day. Here are my favorites!

Sam & Katie · Maryland Wedding Photographer

We went from a church in Maryland to the Historic Round Barn in PA to celebrate this wedding day. It was full of tears, sweat, and love. Katie and Sam went outside for their first look and were troopers out in the humid heat. Then at the ceremony which was in the same church Katie's mom and dad were married in, they read the most adorable vows about how they would still laugh at each others jokes even if they weren't funny and about helping each other in love until the very end. The reception was in this gigantic round barn filled with hanging lights and sweet little vases. Then the excitement started first with the conga line, then with the dancing and a limbo bar! I was so thankful to be a part of their special day and loved second shooting for Simone Fox Photography!
