Brian & Joanna · Engaged

Every once in a while you meet people who are so down to earth and refreshing that it puts you at ease immediately.  Joanna and Brian are some of those people.  Their engagement shoot was full of smiles and joking and it was easy to see just how in love they are.  I love that my job allows me to meet awesome couples that are planning to embark on such a unique journey together.  Thanks for the awesome shoot! Your wedding will be full of music and good friends and I can't wait!

Allan & Marie · Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel Wedding

The wedding of Allen and Marie was a day filled with happiness, laughter, and some tears. Surrounded by loving family and friends the day was special from beginning to end.  The Memorial Chapel was a beautiful spot for such an amazing ceremony. The Chapel's builders described it as a "transparent chapel in the woods" and was designed to allow guests to connect with the beautiful scenery surrounding them.  This made for a stunning wedding filled with natural light.  After the wedding the reception was filled with heartfelt toasts from true friends and even an incredible choreographed dance that stole my heart.  It was a true pleasure to work with Allan and Marie.  They are a couple filled with kindness and joy and it made my day a truly fantastic one.

Tasha & Claire · Family Session

There are certain days that you know, while they are happening, that you will never forget; this was one of those magical days. The first session we planned was unfortunately rained out; but soon after, we got together and spent an afternoon making friends and memories. During the latter half or our session we made a quick Starbucks stop, neither of us could resist a caffeinated pick-me-up and getting hot drinks together was an activity Claire and Tasha loved. The pair of them looked flawless and you could feel their bond as they held hands down the sidewalk; wrapped up in the warmth and energy of that perfect, milky grey autumn afternoon. Despite the clouds, the memories we captured that day truly show Claire and Tasha's inner sunshine.

Olivers · Fort Belvoir Family Session

The only thing more beautiful than the light streaming through the late autumn trees was the lovely Oliver Family.  From the quiet strength of their father, Ramsey to the joyous and simple kindness of their daughter Micaela the day was a joy to be a part of from start to finish.  It is on days like this that I feel so fortunate to do this work.  I wanted to capture the essence of each member of this unique family from the loving and easy going sensibility of Melissa to the authentic playfulness of Copeland and I think I was successful in bringing out their genuine selves.  There was a magical quality to the entire day and I hope in addition to capturing the happiness of this wonderful family, we also created memories that would last forever.

Randall & Lilivette · Glen Garden Wedding

As soon as I met Lili and Randall I was so excited for them and their big day! I loved hearing about how these two coffee-loving gamers met and where they have traveled along their journey. They can get definitely get through anything and I think they are the the sweetest people I have ever met! On their wedding day the details made this day so special from the cake topper look alike to the espresso bar at the reception. I am so happy for these two and their new adventure together!

Allen & Paige · Santa Fe Wedding

Paige and Allen were married outdoors atop a beautiful mountainous Santa Fe landscape. When these two met in Austin they were instantly attracted to one another's sense of humor and have been best friends ever since. As family poured in from Texas and other regions of NM they excitedly greeted each other and prepared for their big day. I was so honored to be a part of this occasion as it was my first trip to New Mexico and it was a wonderful experience to shoot the beautiful pueblo style architecture, amazing view and wonderful couple. Here are some images telling the story of their special day.

Farid & Janene · Washington D.C. Couple Shoot

Janene and Farid are just meant to be. Their playful and romantic natures were easy to capture during their couple shoot in D.C. It was a beautiful day and an even more gorgeous sunset. It was hard to pick any favorites, but here are some of them!

Brittany & Ben · Married

I loved getting to second shoot for my friend, Mary of Mary Sandoval Photography! This Thorpewood, Maryland wedding was a blast from start to finish. Brittany was fun-spirited and knew how to entertain her bridal party. When it came time for Brittany and Ben to do portraits they were so fun and and didn't worry about what they looked like. They were just in the moment and happy to finally be getting married. Here are some of my favorites from their special day!

Ellie's First Birthday

Little Ellie has the cutest expressions, loves playing with leaves, and diving into sweet treats. She played for hours at her first birthday party and was constantly entertaining one of her many friends or family members. For me it was even more special because I was roommates with her mom in college! Not only did I get to visit sweet friends, but I also got to take some family pictures in the beautiful golden light as the sun went down. Here are my favorites from the day!

Here are a few more of my other old college roomies!
